Nurse Practitioners/Physician Assistants
Celia M. Duffett, RN, MN, ARNP, BCCelia received a Diploma in Nursing from Research Medical Center School of Nursing in 1981 and completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Southwest Missouri State University in Springfield, Missouri in 1984. She completed her Master's of Nursing through Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia in 1989. She completed a post-Master's nurse practitioner certificate through Jewish Hospital College of Nursing and Allied Health/Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. She is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center as a nurse practitioner in adult health and acute care. Her professional experience includes cardiothoracic and vascular surgery, interventional radiology, and wound management as well as cardiology.
Elizabeth Ehirim, RN, MSN, BC, ARNP
Elizabeth received her Bachelor of Nursing training from the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, KS in 1997. She returned to the University of Kansas in 2001 to begin her Master of Science in nursing training. Elizabeth received her MSN (Master of Science in Nursing) degree in the summer of 2004.
Stephanie Gesink, PACStephanie received her bachelor's degree from Calvin College and her physician assistant degree from Wichita State University. She has worked as a PA for Midwest Cardiology Associates since her graduation from school in 2001. She is licensed in Kansas and Missouri and is certified by NCCPA.
Patience McCoy, ACNP, PhD, FACC
Patience received her bachelor's degree from Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, MO in 1999. She worked as a nurse in the cardiac intensive care unit for 3 years before pursuing her Masters in Acute Care at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN where she graduated in 2001. She then worked as a Nurse Practitioner for Midwest Cardiology Associates for 3 years before returning to obtain her PhD in Nursing from the University of San Francisco in CA, specializing in Women's Heart Disease.
Abigail Moos, PACAbigail Moos received her bachelor's degree in Exercise Science from Fort Hays State University in 2002 and her Master's degree in Exercise Physiology from the University of Kansas in 2004. She completed an internship at The Cooper Institute for Aerobic Research in Dallas, Texas also in 2004. She is a 2007 graduate of the Wichita State University Physician Assistant Program.
