Professional
Dr. Bloom received his bachelor's degree from Clark University, graduating magna cum laude with high honors, and his medical degree from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine and his Fellowship in cardiology at Tufts University School of Medicine's St. Elizabeth's Hospital of Boston. He has Board Certification in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Diseases, Nuclear Cardiology, and Cardiovascular Computed Tomography.
In addition to clinical experience in cardiology, Dr. Bloom has expertise in the following cardiovascular imaging techniques: nuclear cardiology, echocardiography, coronary angiography and multi-slice computed tomography. He is the director of non-invasive cardiology at Midwest Cardiology Associates and Director of Cardiac CT at Centerpoint Hospital.
Dr. Stephen Bloom is a Fellow of the ACC, a Silver Heart member of the AHA, a Fellow of ASNC and a founding member and Fellow of the SCCT. He is actively involved with multiple working groups with the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology and the ACC, writes board questions for the Certified Board of Nuclear Cardiology (CBNC) and the Certified Board for Cardiac CT (CBCCT), has publications involving Cardiac CTA, and is the director of clinical research at Midwest Cardiology Associates.
Dr. Bloom is an Associate Professor, Department of Medicine at The University of Missouri-Kansas City. Dr. Bloom is on staff at Overland Park Regional Hospital, Menorah Medical Center, Centerpoint Hospital and St. Joseph Hospital.
